I was looking for something to spice up the site a little, found swfText Banner maker, this is what I used to put the fish on the logo and have him swim around. Very easy to use and many very nice special effects.

Wiring of Small office

We started the wiring of another small office today, 14 drop points, Job will require a new phone system.

Expected time to complete 2 to 3 days, so by this next monday we should be done.

Google Ad's

Just signed up for Google Ad's, seems pretty straight foward, not sure I like the idea of having ad's for other companies on my site, anyone reading this I'd like any suggestions you have.

Exchange ActiveSync and Outlook Mobile Access errors

Something that has been a real pain, not every time but from time to time noted that some of the new phones with the windows mobile 5 just will not sync to some exchange servers.

Found a major issue today with the Small Buiness server and the /exchange-oma virtual directory folder, I noted that following suggestions from http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=817379 that the exchange-oma was a copy of the exchange virtual directory, or so it would seem from the posting from microsoft. It suggest making a copy of \exchange and coping it to \exchange-owa making several adjustments to the security settings.

I noted however in exchange server on small business server that the virtual directory's were not the same... Hmmmm

I tested out the suggestion from the microsoft post, making one change, I did not enable the IP address and domain name restrictions as we needed it to run from the internet not just the local server, once we had the folder exchange-owa as a copy of exchange in IIS everything worked as expected.

Spynomore - just found this tool on the net

so far spynomore is picking up items that norton/trend/escan/mv are missing, it's a bit costly but is doing a better job of finding and removing -hard to find - spyware.

Track-IT 8 Release

Downloaded the new Track-IT V8, was really looking foward to this release, I was not too happy with what I saw, V7 was done very nicely, V8 is hard to use, and the layout is not user friendly..
